Multi-layer foam substrate specifically engineered for today's lens edging process.

The new SecurEdgeä optical edging pad is a unique construction never before used in the optical lens edging process. It's construction incorporates a stabilizing film in the middle of two layers of high strength micro-cellular polyurethane foam. This internal reinforcement aids in resisting rotational forces in the X-Y direction that prevents slippage during the edging process, thereby reducing waste. The conformable foam surface, with a modified acrylic adhesive system, insures good intimate contact to a wide range of lens materials, coatings and curvatures.
